Just Some Questions Most Asked
Cheers meets online (Digital Church), in homes, cafes, and parks on a weekly basis to be the church. Our vibe is casual and friendly. We love getting together as the church in very relaxed atmospheres.
Any day and time of the week. Each of our groups has its own time, unique to the group. Some may be on Thursday while others may be on Saturday, or maybe even the traditional Sunday. Our Online Church meets on Sundays at 12:00pm EST.
Our gatherings last about 1.5 – 2 hours, but some stay and hang out longer.
We feel that success is to have a gathering of believers in Jesus, committed to caring for each other, loving God, loving others, and bearing the fruit of the Spirit to a hurting world. We desire to share the goodness of God with others, use our gifts to encourage one another, and multiply. If we do this as Christians our love for people will show, and we will impact our community, city, state, nation, and the world for good. Ephesians 2:10 says that we have been created in Christ Jesus for good works, so we want to do good for people and the cities we live in.
They’re relational, around 3-15 people, and its a place where we worship, teach and discuss the bible, pray for one another, encourage one another, and enjoy some goodies. The groups are casual and relaxed like meeting with family and friends you love. If you have ever been a part of a church with “small groups” it’s kinda like that, but with a more intentional purpose to be the church.
Bring them! We encourage you to bring your kids no matter what age. Again the atmosphere is casual and relaxed just like you were hanging out with family and friends you love. We love kids and don’t feel they are a distraction in our groups. However, in some cases we can setup a separate area for the kids to play together and where they can be supervised by an adult.
We believe that Church is not a place to attend, but who we are supposed to be. Traditional buildings lend themselves to larger gatherings where it’s difficult to get to know people. We value relationships and doing life together. We find that the larger the gathering is, the harder it is to build relationships and do life together with those that live near you. Our groups allow for interaction with the weekly message, for questions to be asked, and for each person to be included. Everyone has something to offer and we want to hear and receive from everyone. The smaller gatherings also allows us to meet geographically so that no one has to drive very far to connect, and facilitates getting to know those that live in close proximity to you.
